I love the lamp, it is beautiful and definitely attracts attention. There are two things though that I hate about it: First,it came with no assembly instructions whatsoever. I do not have a technical mind, and it took me too long to sort it out. Even now I am not quite sure that I did it correct, because I have two extra details left - the white strings with the metal hooks. What do I miss without them? Dunno.
Second, the lamp is very fragile. And you don't realize how fragile it is until you actually start to assemble it. You don't want to set it near an open window - it will just fall down with the slightest wind. Put it in the corner, where nobody can touch it, push it, kick it, fall on it... If you have kids, that run and play all over the place, that lamp is not a best idea, at least, not in the living room.
COLOR IS NOT VIVID WHEN UNLIT.WORTH I/3 OF COST.
I modified 3 lumaligths to be pendant lamps on my stairway and they look beautiful and have drawn lots of positive comments from friends and family.
purposes to be easy to assemble but, the paper is very easily torn or damaged. once in one piece it is top heavy and you have the impression that you should not touch it!. however, it is sculptural and throws amazing light. many positive comments about its looks.
I get tons of compliments on my lights. I have referred several people who are interested in purchasing for themselves. I only light the top and very bottom...it's just enough light...looks great !
