Amedeo G. Cavalchini

Born in Milan in 1967, Amedeo G. Cavalchini took his school-leaving certifcate at the Liceo Scientifico and graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1994 with a design thesis. He also obtained a degree in "Total Quality".

In 1994 Amedeo G. Cavalchini cooperated with the study BBPR to create a residential building in Milan. In the same year he entered the study of Paolo Rizzatto and Edoardo Guazzoni. In 1995 he started designing display systems for Luceplan SpA and assisted Paolo Rizzatto and Alberto Meda in the development of new products for Altea SpQ, a service company in the field of satellite location. In 1996 he founded AandM Architettura Grafica Design with Marie de Cointet, and renovated numerous interiors in 1996 and 1997.

Awards

• 1996 - Selected at the competition Design for Europe
• 1998 - Won the Tiziana Mascheroni award at the competition Young and Design with the project UNICA, an "origami" library.
• 1999 - Selected at the Young and Design compeition with his prototype Chichibio lamp, designed with Domenico Perrucci.
